1997年、アメリカはカリフォルニア・オークランドにて8人の人間により設立された。そのうち7人がミュージシャンである。
現在レーベルが契約しているミュージシャンは、アメリカとイギリスのミュージシャン達である。
扱うジャンルは、エレクトロニック、ヒップホップ、インディーロックなど。
1999年にコンピレーション"Hip-Hop Music For The Advanced Listener EP"をリリースし、スタートを切った。
