Near the Parenthesisは、アメリカ出身のTim Arndtによるソロプロジェクト。サンフランシスコを拠点に活動中。
2006年にカナダのレーベル[[Music Made By People]]から、"Go Out And See"をリリースしてデビュー。同年DuotoneよりEPをリリース。
その後[[n5MD]]に移籍するが、MMBPからn5MDへ移籍というパターンは[[Arc Lab]]と同じである。
2007年、"[[Of Soft Construction(AA)>>http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000WW1YQU/musiki-22/ref=nosim]]"をリリース。マスタリングはシアトルにあるPanicstudios。ここは他に[[Benbecula]]などの作品のマスタリング経験もある。
翌2008年には3rdアルバム"[[L'Eixample(AA)>>http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001BJ675Q/musiki-22/ref=nosim]]"を発売した。この作品はdiscogs内において、自身の作品中[[最高評価を受けている(5点満点中4.77点)>>http://www.discogs.com/Near-The-Parenthesis-LEixample/release/1432326]]。
